Barnes County Highway Dept. lifts temporary restrictions on county roads

At a special meeting of the Barnes County Commission, Highway Superintendent Kerry Johnson said weight restrictions were being lifted on County Roads 1 near Wimbledon, 22 west of State Highway 1 and 37 on the southeast county line.

Trucks were restricted to six tons per axle on County Roads 1 and 37 and about half a dozen other locations for several months, while County Road 22 was restricted to light traffic only when it was reopened last month following an emergency grade raise.
