Band Shell to Get New Foundation; Marks Phase One of Reconstruction

The City Park Band Shell will soon move to a new location on a new foundation, marking the first phase of making the structure safe for the community to use. The historical structure was damaged from two floods.

City Park's band shell that was damaged from two floods will soon get a new foundation, which marks the first phase of making the structure safe again for the community to use. Tyler Jacobson, director of Valley City Parks and Recreation, said Friday that they've awarded contracts for the construction of the new foundation and moving of the band shell sometime this spring.
