Babe Ruth Sweeps Oakes Away Again

July 1, 2014

Valley City Babe Ruth blew into wind-whipped Tornado Alley in Oakes, N.D., on Monday night, leading 12-0 after three District innings for a 14-0 five-inning triumph before scoring six runs in the non-District fourth to take the closer, 6-1.

“This game could have been close to the most complete game we have played all year,” said Babe Ruth head coach Lance Lukes of the opener. “From every aspect of the game we performed well, and did a lot of the little executing that needs to be done.”
