The Hi-Liners donned their dapperest duds for the 2012 Valley City High School Awards Banquet in the VCHS Theater in the high school on Monday night.

The evening saw several dozen students receive awards and scholarships and the induction of members in to the National Honor Society and the Minerva Chapter of the National Honor Society.

“It truly is an honor to be here this evening preparing this group for the next level of their journey in education and honoring them for all the hard work they’ve done over the year,” said VCHS principal Kristi Brandt. “It’s not only been a fun year, but it’s truly been an honor to work with these students at Valley City High School. It’s been a great year with a lot of great success and tonight is a clear snapshot of all the success that has happened.”

Scolarships were awarded by Valley City State University, the Valley City Chapter of Dollars for Scholars, which included Central Avenue Health, Cass County electric, Audrey Mae Brush Brooks, Alliance Pipeline, Dacotah Bank and others. The Daughters of the American Revolution presented the Good Citizen award, and scholarships were also given from the Bridge City Cruisers, Essentia Health, Reach, Bank Forward, First Community Credit Union, the Kiwanis Club, Gate City Bank and many more.
