Weather conditions can contribute to a horse's overall body condition. This horse, which is wearing its winter coat, is in good condition during a North Dakota winter.

Kathryn woman Ginger Helland, who lives in Oak Hill Township, faces several charges in Barnes County for mistreatment and improper disposal of several horses that died from starvation.
