Anderson, Sheriffs Ready to Repeat

September 20, 2013

Coach Reed Anderson and his Sheriffs look to crush Tim Ost's Vikings for the second straight time in the Deputies Game at Lokken Stadium on Sept. 26.

Sheriffs Coach Reed Anderson is ready.

Thrashing the Vikings, 98-77, in last year's Deputies Football Game was so glorious, so enthralling, that he's looking forward to crushing them again, 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 at Lokken Stadium.

Anderson became the Sheriffs' coach because he is the ultimate source of football expertise.

"Last year, one of the organizers, Scott Crump, said they were looking for a coach who understood the game, a coach with experience, with knowledge of what it takes to win, and especially a coach with an understanding of how rules are made and work," Anderson said. "And that was me."

Tim 'The Toaster' Ost of Valley City's 1490 KOVC-AM is the new Vikings coach against whom Anderson will unleash the fury.

"Last year's coach for the opposition left town, and this year's coach, I don't know how they found him," Anderson said. "I don't know where they were trolling that they found this year's head coach."
