Al Trader Rings Bell Every Year

Al Trader, Sr., center, rings the Salvation Army bell with his sons Al Trader, Jr., left, and Terry Trader, right. The senior Al has been ringing the bell at this location for the past 20 years.

Al Trader, Sr. has rang the bell for Barnes County's Salvation Army every year for the past 20 years, he estimates. The Valley City man began ringing the bell after he retired the second time and looks forward to it every year.
