15 Hi-Liner Personal Records at EDC Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Hi-Liner track and field set 15 personal records and placed in five events at Saturday’s Eastern Dakota Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Cushman Field in Grand Forks, N.D.

Both the boys and girls team took 10th with two points. West Fargo won the girls meet, Fargo Davies the boys.

Sophomore Deanna Schneider’s 15.81 seconds for 38th in the 100-Meter Dash and 32.75 seconds for 33rd in the 200-Meter Dash were both personal bests.

Sophomore Heidi Mundfrom’s new personal mark of 32.90 seconds in the 200-Meter Dash earned 34th.

Senior Jamie Ronning’s 33.59 seconds for 37th in the 200-Meter Dash is a new personal mark.

Sophomore Jessica Ronning’s 2:52.01 for 33rd in the 800-Meter Run set a new personal best.

Junior Barbara Zubrod’s 2:52.49, a new personal record, took 34th in the 800-Meter Run.

Freshman Eden Crump’s 3:05.34 for 39th in the 800-Meter Run set a new personal best.

Sophomore Kory Johnson’s new personal records came at 13.29 seconds for 37th in the 100-Meter Dash, and 27.15 seconds for 41st in the 200-Meter Dash.

Sophomore Gabe Brown struck a new personal best at 25.04 seconds for 23rd in the 200-Meter Dash.

Freshman Eli Allen took 24th with a personal-best 25.05 seconds in the 200-Meter Dash.

Junior Casey Engelhard’s 13th-place 55.30 seconds in the 400-Meter Dash set a new personal record.

Freshman Jacob Berntson’s 88-foot, 4-inch Javelin Throw for 38th, and 8-foot, 6-inch Pole Vault for 15th, are personal bests.

Freshman Hunter Olstad’s 55-foot, 4-inch Javelin Throw for 40th set a new personal mark.

Junior John Halgrimson took eighth in the 200-Meter Dash at 23.52 seconds.

Junior Bekah Peterson finished eighth in the Triple Jump at 32 feet, 1.5 inches.

Valley City’s Girls 4x800-Meter Relay team of sophomore Mikaylah Ross, Jessica Ronning, 7th-grader Mikayla Wolla and junior April Berntson came eighth at 11:11.01.

Sophomore Lucas Jury, Halgrimson, Brown and Allen took eighth in the 4x100-Meter Relay at 46.57 seconds, and eighth in the 4x200-Meter Relay at 1:37.16.
