Joe Dominiak is Valley City Stateâ€™s new assistant baseball coach, VCSU announced Friday.

North Dakota State University athletic officials announced Thursday that NDSUâ€™s 2011, 2012 and 2013 NCAA Division I FCS National Championship trophies will tour Scheels locations in Bismarck, Minot, Grand Forks and Fargo from Friday, Feb. 7 through Sunday, Feb. 9, â€śto give the people of North Dakota an opportunity to see and get their picture taken with the trophies.â€ť

Hi-Liner gymnastics took first all-around in Thursday night's home meet with 138.400 points to finish ahead of Fargo South, Fargo Davies and Wahpeton.
Freshman Taylor Johnson took second in individual all-around competition with 35.550 points, junior Abby Brown sixth with 33.300, sophomore Brienne Roehrich seventh with 33.050, 7th-grader Michaela Thibert ninth with 32.850 and 8th-grader Hannah Sorensen 11th with 32.100.
North Dakota State junior guard Brooke LeMar scored 21 points and sophomore forwards Holly Johnson and Marena Whittle 20 and 18, respectively, as the Bison defeated Valley City State, 83-61, in an exhibition game in Fargo on Wednesday night.
Viking junior guard Sadiqah Jihad and junior forward Megan Trautman put up 10 points each to lead VCSU.
NDSU shot 52 percent in the game to VCSU's 32 percent. The Bison scored 50 points in the paint, the Vikings 22.
With the loss, the Vikings' six-game win streak came to an end.
Points abounded on Tuesday night as Enderlin sophomore guard/forward GrahamHurlburt scored 27 points on 4-of-7 shooting from three-point range, senior guard Daniel Lindgren 24 on 3-of-4 from downtown, senior center Jared Kittleson 12 and senior guard Austin Dixson 10 as the Eagles soared over LaMoure/Litchville-Marion in LaMoure, 82-65.

Hi-Liner gymnastics enjoyed a dual meet win against Jamestown on Tuesday night and worked with different competitive alignments as they did it.

They get a chance to meet new kids and interact with each other that way â€” it was a lot of fun overall.â€ť
