The week of celebrating brought many people into the school to enjoy time with the students and be thanked for all they do to help our school. We began with the 10:30am Mass on Sunday by acknowledging Dacotah Bank as a business who has continually helped St. Catherine School through the annual Fall Auction and the REACH organization. We also thanked Mr. Ken Kohler Jr. for his constant efforts with the Auction and his many years as a REACH Board of Director.
Spring Light Goose Licenses Available
Light goose hunters planning to hunt during North Dakotaâs spring season can purchase a license online at the state Game and Fish Departmentâs website. The season opens Feb. 18 and continues through May 6.
Residents can hunt during the spring season by having last fallâs 2011-12 bird licenses. Otherwise, hunters will need to purchase either a 2012-13 combination license; or a small game, and general game and habitat license.

The state Game and Fish Department is offering 5,795 wild turkey licenses for the spring hunting season, a decrease of 925 from last year. The decrease is a result of additional winter mortality the last three years and poor production during spring 2011.
Ten of the 22 hunting units have fewer spring licenses than in 2011, while 11 remain the same. Unit 21 (most of Hettinger and Adams counties) is again closed in 2012 due to lack of turkeys in the unit.
