Valley City State University will hold a Viking Parent and Family Weekend Oct. 10 to 12, with about 100 VCSU students, parents and siblings scheduled to take part in activities planned to make families part of the VCSU family. More in Wednesday's Times-Record.

Cousartâ€™s tackle of April Berntson on 4th-and-6 from the Senior 40 with 20 seconds left Tuesday night handed the red-bound Seniors a 6-0 win â€” ably officiated by Matt Nielson and Trevor Bakalar â€” and back-to-back triumphs after last yearâ€™s one-point escape.

A fashion show and silent auction will be held at Sabir's later this month to benefit the Valley City Hi Lites dance team.
