Defense wins Homecoming Powderpuff championships, and Catera Cousart’s tackle sealed the deal.

Cousart’s tackle of April Berntson on 4th-and-6 from the Senior 40 with 20 seconds left Tuesday night handed the red-bound Seniors a 6-0 win — ably officiated by Matt Nielson and Trevor Bakalar — and back-to-back triumphs after last year’s one-point escape.

“We played very good defense,” said Ian Schweitzer, who lent his talents to the Senior coaching staff.
