Throwback Thursday: Fingal Basketball Team

Buddy Bench Aims to Eliminate Loneliness on the Playground

Barnes County North has a new "Buddy Bench" on its playground. The bench will be placed on the playground to help students seek inclusion among their peers. Students at BCN have pledged that if they see a student on the bench they will go and ask the student to join in their recess activities. More in Thursday's Times-Record.

Wimbledon Newsletter Going Strong

Wellness Center: One Step Closer

Valley City City Commissioners approved the first reading of an ordinance to extend a current 1/2 percent city sales tax to fund the Valley City Wellness, Health and Fitness Education Center during a special meeting Tuesday morning. More in Wednesday's Times-Record.

ON THE MOVE is Back in 2015

ON THE MOVE is back and ready to help the community start the New Year right. ON THE MOVE is a physical activity program for all ages that starts Thursday, Jan. 1 and is designed to help Barnes County residents set a physical activity goal and meet it. The program offers tips, support and incentives. More in Wednesday's Times-Record.

Warrant Wednesday: Susan Kay Delmore

Each week, local law enforcement asks for help from the community in locating individuals who have warrants out for their arrest.

Susan Kay Delmore is wanted for failure to comply to a bench warrant for theft of property and failure to serve 30 days in jail.

Delmore, 56, is a native American female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is five feet, four inches tall and weighs 125 pounds.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Delmore should call the Barnes County Sheriff's Office at (701) 845-8530. Callers may remain anonymous.

Dallas used the 3rd quarter to put this game out of reach. After a tightly contested first half the score was 14-7 in Dallas’ favor. Dallas was able to use an early second half turnover to score a 24 yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Cole Beasley. They used great field position to tack on 2 more touchdowns before the end of the 3rd quarter to make the score 35-7. Chicago made the game somewhat close thanks to a 21 point fourth quarter of their own, but it was too little, too late.

Church Collects for Mitten Tree

Valley City Congregational United Church of Christ members, Sunday School and Confirmation students collected hats, mittens, gloves and scarves to donate to the Valley City Mitten Tree.
