More than a dozen judges, plus lawyers, and North Dakota's governor and lieutenant governor were in Valley City Friday for the official investiture for new Southeast Judicial District Judge Jerod E. Tufte.
North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple said he appointed Tufte, a former member of his staff, to serve as a judge until the 2016 election. More in Tuesday's issue of the Times-Record.
Four Valley City residents were arrested Saturday on charges including aggravated assault, possession of stolen property and criminal mischief stemming from two area burglaries.
Sumaya S. Hassan, 23; Sidhassan Isac, 19; Sidali Isac, 23; and Adan Mohamud, 21, were charged with burglary and possession of stolen property for a burglary occurring at 256 Sixth Avenue in Valley City.
