Valley City High School softball coach Jason Lindgren had mixed feelings on his team’s 7-6 regular season-ending loss to Fargo Shanley Monday at the Valley City State University softball complex.

VCHS golf qualifies 3 for state meet
The Valley City High School golf team qualified three team members for state and placed fourth in a meet Monday in Wahpeton.
The Hi-Liners finished with a team score of 307, tying with West Fargo, who took third on a tie breaker.
Nick Jenson and Ben Sorenson both shot a 75 to tie for sixth place, and though Jared Lentz’s 78 didn’t place him, he joined them with a state qualifying score.
Fargo Shanley won the meet with a score of 295. West Fargo’s Connor Holland and Shanley’s Thomas Strandemo won the meet with a score of 70.
