The Valley City State volleyball team ended its season on a positive note Wednesday, Nov. 2, sweeping Mayville State in their season finale, 25-17, 27-25, 25-18.
Aurissa Martens led the Vikings with 16 kills during the match at Valley City's Graichen Gymnasium. VCSU ends the season with a 12-23 overall record. They went 6-3 in the Dakota Athletic Conference, good for second-place in the DAC standings.

Both Maple Valley High School and Enderlin High School are planning to send a “Fan Bus” to Saturday’s semifinal playoff football game in Linton between Linton-HMB and the Maple Valley/Enderlin Falcons.
The Enderlin bus is leaving from Enderlin at 10 a.m., and people can sign up by calling student services (701-437-2240).
The Maple Valley “Fan Bus” is leaving at 9 a.m. from Tower City. Cost is $1 to ride, and people must sign up by 3:30 p.m. Thursday by calling the school (701-749-2570).
