Arne “Bud” Haro

September 21, 2014

Arne “Bud” Haro, 78, of Marion, ND, died at home on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, LaMoure, ND. His funeral with be Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at High Prairie Lutheran Church rural LaMoure, with burial to follow at High Prairie Cemetery. Dahlstrom Funeral Home in LaMoure is in charge of the arrangements.

Lynette Caylor

Lynette Caylor, 50 of Carrington, ND, passed away with family by her side on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014. She was born on Nov. 1, 1963, in Carrington to Dr. Carl A. Beck and Jeanette M. Beck. Lynette graduated from Durham Tech Optician School in Durham, NC. After graduation, she went to work with her father as an optician in his optometry practice in Virginia Beach, VA. While visiting North Dakota for a family reunion, Lynette met and fell in love with Don Caylor of Carrington. They were married on December 7, 1985.

Eugene "Gene" Keller

On the eve of Tuesday, September 16, 2014, Gene went to be with Jesus, his Lord an Savior. Eugene Paul Keller was born July 12, 1943, to the parents of Paul and Frieda (Welk) Keller in Edgeley, ND. He lived in Merricourt, ND and then moved to Jamestown in 1958, where he graduated from Jamestown High School in 1961. From there he entered the US Navy in San Diego, CA and served four years as a Hospital Corpsman in Charleston, SC. While serving in Charleston, SC, he met his future wife, Karen Kingsley, who was also a Naval Corpswave.

Olga Severson

September 17, 2014

Olga Severson, 94, Enderlin, ND died Sept. 14, 2014 at Maryhill Manor. Olga was born March 17 1920 to Gilbert and Molly (Storlee) Olson. She attended Moore school in rural Ransom County.
She married Sophus Severson on October 28, 1950 at the Preston Church, where she was a member for 64 years. They farmed in the Sheyenne River Valley near Kathryn. Sophus died in 1976 and Olga continued to live on the farm until 1995 when she moved into Valley City.
Olga loved cooking, baking and serving coffee to friends and family.

Ruth L. Langer

September 16, 2014

Ruth L Langer, age 85, of Valley City, ND and formerly of Alice, ND died Tuesday Sept. 16, 2014 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Valley City, ND with Msgr. Dennis Skonseng celebrant. Visitation will be from 5PM until 7 PM Thursday at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City with a Prayer Service recited at 7 PM. Interment will take place in the Alice Community Cemetery at 1:30 PM Friday.

Lucas Murdie

Lucas Murdie, age 35, of Springfield, MO, died September 1, 2014 in Rawlins, WY. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 20th at Grace Free Lutheran Church in Valley City. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church in Valley City. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City, ND.

Mildred “Millie” Trapp

September 15, 2014

Mildred “Millie” Trapp age 101 of Pine City, MN, formerly of Valley City, ND, passed away on Sept. 14, 2014.
Mildred Geneva Hanson was born to Lewis Melvin and Mabel (Petersen) Hanson on Aug. 31, 1913 in Nome, ND. She married Herbert Trapp on Ap. 16, 1932. They resided in Lucca, ND until 1977 when they moved to Valley City, ND. After the death of her husband in 1995, Millie continued to live in Valley City until 2004 when she moved to Pine City, MN to live with her daughter.

Conni Bruse

Conni Layne Bruse was born on November 14, 1963, in Valley City, ND. She was the youngest of six children born to Marlyn and Estelle (Haarsager) Bruse of Litchville, ND. She grew up on the family farm south of Litchville, where she developed a love of writing and drawing, and a very special bond with nature and animals. Whether it was riding her horse, Cheyenne, or playing with a new batch of baby kittens, all animals held a special place in Conni’s heart. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Litchville and graduated from Litchville High School in 1982.

Wesley Alan Dibbern

Wesley Alan Dibbern, 84, died September 3, 2014 in Lisle, IL. He was the dear son of the late Elmer and Maude Dibbern; loving brother of Mary Jean Dibbern (Jack Wesley) Benner and the late David Dibbern; fond uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews; cherished cousin and friend of many.
A funeral service was held September 6, 2014 at Brookdale Plaza in Lisle, IL. A graveside service will be held in Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City, ND on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Pastor David Hartson of the Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate.
