With all 15 Barnes County precincts reporting, Mike Metcalf leads Phil Leitner 311 (54 percent) votes to 257 (45 percent) for the Barnes County Commission District 2 seat, and Bill Carlblom leads Ryan Mathis 321 (57 percent) votes to 232 (41 percent) for the Barnes County District 3 seat.
All 15 Barnes County precincts report 61 percent no votes and 38 percent on Barnes County Measure 1, which increases the fee of $1 per month per communication connection be increased to $1.50 per month.
Valley City voters at the polls approved Valley City Measures 2 and 3, which take an existing half percent sales tax, currently being used to fund the Hi-Liner Activity Center, to help pay for flood protection and the proposed Valley City Health, Wellness and Physical Education, respectively.
