Bull riders who competed in summer bull riding events have another chance to ride next weekend at the Duel in the Dirt Finals at the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center.
The finals are set for Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. both nights.

Valley City's 2 or so inches of snow over the past few days will likely stick around another week, as below average temperatures for this time of year remain, said Mark Ewens, a meteorologist technician with the Grand Forks office of the National Weather Service. A hot air balloon had a hard landing south of Interstate 94 near the Peak exit (296), a few miles east of Valley City, last Thursday. According to Valley City resident Jennifer Pickard who watched the balloon descend as she followed to offer assistance if necessary, the pilot is in the process of flying over each of the 50 states and got caught up in a North Dakota wind. He chose to fly over North Dakota after harvest just in case he ended up in a field. Nobody was injured during the hard landing.
Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors welcomed Stoudt-Ross Ford to its new location at 325 Wintershow Road Monday at its grand opening.
The nearly 25,000-square-foot building opened in October.
