Peaches Sold in VC Recalled

VC's Crazy Day a Success

Many people showed up for Crazy Day in downtown Valley City Wednesday. The annual street fair featured inflatable games, activities and contests, shopping, food vendors and more.

VC NG Plans 2 New Structures

The North Dakota National Guard plans to build two new structures totaling more than 45,000 square feet at its new Valley City Guard property east of the city off Interstate 94. More in Wednesday's issue of the Times-Record.

Open House for DCB at VCSU Next Week

An open house to teach the community about the Dakota College at Bottineau programs on the Valley City State University campus is planned for Thursday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Skoal Room at VCSU's Student Center.

Bull Bash Set For Aug. 30

Warrant Wednesday: Tyler Delmore

At the request of Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin, the Times-Record will begin featuring a wanted felon each Wednesday as a way to enlist the public's help in locating individuals who have felony warrants out for their arrest.

The first wanted felon in the project is Tyler Delmore, who is wanted for a felony and a number of misdemeanor charges.

Welcoming Newcomers to VC

The Dacotah Pavilion at Valley City's Chautauqua Park was packed Monday with new Valley City and Barnes County residents along with city and county officials and representatives from area civic organizations and churches. During the event, which included a meal, residents had the opportunity to meet community leaders and make friends in their new home. Several area businesses donated items to be given as door prizes.

Memories of Litchville: Stan Hansen to Present Slide Show of Town Photos

Area residents can catch a glimpse of what rural Barnes County town Litchville looked like when business was thriving during a public slide showing at the Litchville Community Center Friday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.
Jamie Smith, a resident there, said, "Many of us have memories of how Litchville was back in its heydey — a time when storefronts were full and business was thriving."
