BC Has Plenty Nominees for Ghosts of North Dakota

Wes Anderson is aware of no Barnes County sites that are included on the Website Ghosts of North Dakota, but has plenty of now defunct Barnes County towns to nominate.
Anderson, curator of the Barnes County Historical Society Museum, said Tuesday there are scores of places which once housed people in Barnes County that have turned into ghost towns.

Summer Storm, No Help From FEMA

No Federal Emergency Management funding will be available to Valley City residents to help rebuild after last month's summer storm. During a regular meeting of the Valley City Commission, Barnes County Emergency Manager Kim Franklin said because the Presidential Disaster Declaration covered only weather events for a month-long period from May 17 to June 16, FEMA funds would not be available for clean-up assistance after the June 20 storm.
