June 8 and 9 may be ordinary days to most of you, but the Times-Record wants to know what those ordinary days have in store for all of you — perhaps they're not so ordinary after all.
Keep track of what you do on June 8 or 9 with photos or writing. We want to know how Valley City ticks and who's behind it all. We want to know what your life is like here in the valley and what makes it awesome.
The Valley City Times-Record will be publishing a special section based on the submissions we get from you in June.

Library Gets Books

Head Librarian Steve Hammel looked over a group of books recently received by the Valley City-Barnes County Public Library through a Books for Children grant. The grant provided 70 books, both fiction and non-fiction, for children between birth and 12 years of age. The books are worth about $1,070.

Kay Vinje New EVP at Chamber

Executive Vice President for the Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce Dawn Riley said she's stepping down from her EVP role and Kay Vinje, event coordinator for the Chamber, will be the new EVP as of June 1.
The announcement came at the Valley City-Barnes County Development Group and Chamber's joint banquet and awards ceremony Tuesday evening at Sabirs.
