Fire Destroys BC Home

November 15, 2013

A Wimbledon home was lost to fire on the early morning hours Thursday.
At 12:36 a.m., Barnes County Dispatch received a call that a home, a single-stall attached garage, a single-stall unattached garage and a camper were on fire. according to Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin.

Drunk Driver Damages VCSU Structure

A drunk driver caused extensive damage to the brick column and wall on the north end of the walking bridge between Valley City State University and Central Avenue.

Festival of Trees Set for Nov. 30

Museum Gets $500 from Beer and Wine Social Proceeds

The Valley City Rotary Club gave the Barnes County Historical Society a total of $500, which was partial proceeds from the club's beer and wine social earlier this month, Thursday morning.
