Youth With A Mission will be offering a banquet on the Impact World Tour on Thursday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in the St. Catherine’s Elementary School Gym.
“Feel free to bring your spouse or friends,” Executive Director of Faith In Action at Mercy Hospital Vicki Grafing said in an email. Faith in Action is a part of the community faith leadership that is bringing in YWAM’s Impact World Tour.
“We will have a great praise band playing a couple songs; you’ll see the powerpoint presentation of what IWT is.”
The June 12 city election will see five candidates vying for two City Commissioner seats vacated by George Dutton and Jon Wagar. This week, the T-R will interview all five candidates to provide a better look at those seeking office and their take on the issues facing Valley City. Going alphabetically, the fourth interviewee is candidate Madeline Luke.

Education: College in Boston, Mass., medical school in Rhode Island and trained in New York City
The Sheyenne River Valley Chapter of the North Country Trail Association is hosting a morning hike to the Mineral Springs waterfall in the Sheyenne State Forest on Saturday, May 5, and they’d like to invite you along.
President Deb Koepplin welcomed anyone who would like a few hours of outdoor activity on the easy-to-moderate trail to meet in the Rosebud Visitor’s Center parking lot at 9 a.m. to carpool, or meet at the Sheyenne State Forest trailhead at 10 a.m.
The annual hiking excursion is usually well-attended, according to Koepplin.
