The American Association of School Librarians division of the American Library Association has recognized the library and information technologies concentration of Valley City State University’s online master of education program as a quality school librarianship program.
VCSU is the only university in the North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Montana region with a nationally recognized program of this type.
More than 100 attend the first VC food expo
Well over a hundred people gathered at the Hi-Liner Activity Center at the Valley City High School on Monday evening to partake in the city’s first Food Expo. The Expo offered residents a look at local food suppliers, community supported agriculture and organic farms.
The evening was sponsored by local groups What in the World is Going On? and The Young People’s Healthy Heart as well as Medina-based FARRMS (Foundation for Agriculture and Rural Resource Management and Sustainability.
The National Weather Service in Grand Forks is predicting a major winter storm for parts of eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota beginning late today and stretching into Wednesday.
A foot or more of snow is possible across the southern Red River Valley, tapering to six inches farther north along the Highway 2 corridor. Meteorologist Todd Hamilton of the National Weather Service in Bismarck said that Valley City could be in the 9 to 12 inch range for precipitation.
