Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin is asking people who have noticed items missing from their residences, especially along Peak Road and Kathryn Road, to contact the Sheriff’s office.
McClaflin said Tuesday that the Barnes County Sheriff’s Department has a 30-year-old woman in custody “for entering numerous homes in the Barnes County, specifically Peak Road (County Road 27 North), Kathryn Road (County Road 21 south), Valley City and Sanborn.”
McClaflin said the homes were unlocked, and “if confronted she usually made up a believable story of why she was in the residence.”
Most high school students in the area have small class sizes, and music students share the stage with a relatively low amount of people, but on Nov. 13, they’ll get a chance to play and sing with a much larger group.
Students from area high schools will join together to perform in the annual Barnes County music festival Nov. 13 at Valley City State University’s Vangstad Auditorium.
My name is Bonnie Jo Hanson. I’m the new county reporter here at the Times-Record, and I will also be covering agriculture and education.
I hail from a rural area in southern Ohio, close to Huntington W. Va. Now I live in Marion with a husband, Greg, and one kid. Two of my kids, Anthony and Libby, are grown and gone, Christian is still at home. I also have a bunch of animals – three dogs and two cats. (We can’t say no, but our house is getting really small and hairy.)
