BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's Senate unanimously approved a $639 million disaster relief measure Thursday that includes money for low-interest home loans, road construction and repairs to public works.
Final approval was expected Friday in the House as North Dakota lawmakers prepared to finish their week-long special session on Veterans' Day.
North Dakota law enforcement agencies throughout the state will conduct increased seatbelt enforcement during a "Click It or Ticket" campaign running Friday, Nov. 11, through Saturday, Nov. 19.
"North Dakota has some startling statistics related to unbelted motor vehicle fatalities," said NDDOT Safety Division Director Mark Nelson in a news release. "Historically, about three out of four people killed in motor vehicle crashes are not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash."
The Barnes County Water Resource District Board meets Monday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. in the Barnes County Highway Department Conference Room.
