Senior outside hitter Rhandi Larson swooped for 11 digs, four aces, two kills and an assist at District 5 rival Midkota on Tuesday, but Litchville-Marion/Montpelier fell, 3-0.

Anyone who owns a dog should think about enrolling them in obedience classes, says Lynn Priebe, who teaches basic dog obedience classes in Valley City twice a year. The eight-week classes begin Monday, Sept. 22.

Each week, local law enforcement asks for help from the community in locating individuals who have warrants out for their arrest.
Tylando Ronald Laroque is wanted on a warrant from Clay County, Minn., for domestic assault, a gross misdemeanor and subsequent violation, also a gross misdemeanor.
Laroque, 34, is a native American with gray and black hair and brown eyes. He is six feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. Laroque is believed to be in the Barnes County/Valley City area.
Sophomore 5-foot, 8-inch setter Jayda Haugen dished out 20 assists in Barnes County Northâ€™s District 5 match against visiting Ellendale on Tuesday, but Cardinal junior Isabel Wedellâ€™s 12 kills, two aces and a block led a narrow 3-0 (26-24, 25-16, 25-23) win.

Bruin 6-foot junior right side/setter Emily Stroupâ€™s 25 kills, 13 assists, 12 digs and a block overwhelmed Hi-Liner rallies in the second and third sets to deny Valley City their first Eastern Dakota Conference win, 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 26-24).
South opened the first set, 6-0, and held up against Valley Cityâ€™s surge.
Valley City led 10-9 in the second, but South held an edge of 15-10, 24-21, 24-22 and 24-23.
Community members had a second opportunity to give input and voice their opinions about the proposed Valley City Health, Wellness and Physical Education Center Monday. About 60 area residents and community leaders were on-hand for a meeting where backers of the proposed wellness center explained the proposal and answered questions about the proposed $16 million project.
