Saturday's VCSU home volleyball match with Briercrest College has been changed to a 3 p.m start time at Graichen Gymnasium to avoid an overlap with football, which starts at 6 p.m.
NDHSAA-sponsored State A Girlsâ€™ Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 30 - Oct. 1, 2013 at the Grand Forks Country Club, 794 County Road 6. Mark Rerick, Athletic Administrator for Grand Forks Schools, will be the tournament manager.
The 2013 NDHSAA-sponsored Boysâ€™ State Tennis Tournament will be held October 3-5, headquartered at Fargoâ€™s Courts Plus, 3491 South University Drive. Todd Olson, Activities Administrator for Fargo Public Schools, will serve as tournament manager.
The event starts at 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 3rd with team tournament play.
Friday, October 4th, team play resumes at 9:00 a.m., weather pending. In addition to team competition, Fridayâ€™s action continues with the opening of individual play at 1:00 p.m.

On Aug. 21, Ruth Nathan took the low scratch at 49 strokes, and the low net at 32 1/2.
Nathan was the Full House winner in 'Poker Hand', the game of the day. Rose Wendt and Sonny Spitzer were the Straight winners. Nathan and Spitzer had the most of a kind as well.
Mary Tangen took the low scratch at 48 and the low net at 35 on Aug. 28. Sheryl Hanson took 1st and Tangen 2nd in 'Beat Your Average', the game of the day.
Meth labs, whether large or small, are dangerous. Chemicals used in making meth are dangerous, the process of making meth is dangerous, and the waste left behind is dangerous.
Methamphetamine is an illegal stimulant typically made in "laboratories" from common materials, many of which are readily available to the maker. Recipes for the substance and step-by-step instructions can be found on the Internet, making it possible that a meth lab could be located in nearly any neighborhood in any city, any rural setting, or even campers and fish houses.
Local people will be able to sell or have their old coins and antiques evaluated at a free event being held at the Valley City Eagles Aerie from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, said William Gross, president and owner of Land Of Lincoln Treasure Buyers LLP.
Thursday morning Gross and company vice President Archie Davis were at the Aerie, 345 12th Street NE, for the first day of the two-day event.

Barnes County plans to mill and overlay 18 miles of Barnes County Road 21 north from Valley City to State Highway 26 as its major road project for 2014, said Road Superintendent Kerry Johnson Thursday.
Johnson said county residents will end up paying about $450,000 of the estimated $3.25 million total cost.
