The Valley City State University Booster Board and Alumni Board invite alumni, fans and friends of Viking Athletics to attend a watch party Saturday, Nov. 22 starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Valley City Country Club.
Fans will be able to watch the Viking football playoff game which kicks off at 1 p.m. CST. The Booster and Alumni board willÂ provide chili.Â

Valley City senior Jordyn Sayler will compete in the Miss North Dakota Teen USA competition this weekend. The Miss North Dakota USA competition will be held in conjunction.
Sayler, daughter of Nathan and Marsha Sayler, said the preliminary round, in which competitors interview with judges, is Saturday, and the final show will be Sunday, Nov. 23 at North Dakota State University's Festival Concert Hall at 4 p.m.

Gerry Gerntholz of Valley City brought in this photograph taken during the 2008 program marking the deactivation of Valley City's National Guard 141st Engineer Combat Battalion. The battalion was started in 1955.
The Times-Record encourages residents of Barnes County and Valley City to submit photographs of personal and community events and activities that happened during their memories.

Valley City's employees were granted raises during a regular meeting of the Valley City City Commission Tuesday after a study revealed that Valley City employees, on average, earned 20 percent less than their counterparts in other cities.
