LaMoure/Litchville-Marion's Lady Loboes are your Region 3 third-place finishers after Thursday's 56-49 win over District 5 rival Ellendale in Hazelton, N.D.
The Loboes went 4-0 in District 5 competition and 17-7 overall - including nine wins in their last 10 regular season games - to finish third in the Barnes County Tournament to take the top seed in the District 5 Tournament.
Maple Valley's Lady Raiders are your third-place Class Region 1 winners after Thursday's 49-43 triumph over District 2 rival Oak Grove at North Dakota College of Science in Wahpeton, N.D.
Oak Grove came right back to tie the game after trailing by 10 just after halftime, but Raider sophomore forward Rylee Nudell scored 14 points and junior center Megan Kasowski 13 of her own to help Maple Valley withstand the Grover gauntlet.

East No. 4 seed Valley City trailed only 28-22 at halftime of Thursday's State Tournament quarterfinal against West Region champion Bismarck, but three Demons scored in double figures to help their side survive for a 60-50 win.
Thursday, North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple presented the North Dakota Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award to the family of Herman Stern, a businessman and visionary who managed the Straus Clothing Store in Valley City for 70 years and made numerous contributions to the state, including establishing the North Dakota Winter Show and founding the Greater North Dakota Association, now known as the Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC).
Stern, who passed away in 1980, is the 40th recipient of the award, the stateâ€™s highest commendation for its citizens.
John Deere Seeding Group and Shopko Hometown each received rebate checks Wednesday morning for participating in Valley City's supplemental power supplier Missouri River's Energy Services' Bright Energy Solutions program. Both companies installed new energy-efficient lighting in their facilities, so the city rewarded them with a rebate.

Charges against a Valley City man who shot a pit bull dog within city limits last summer have been dismissed.
Nathan Preston faced criminal charges for the late-July incident when he fired a weapon at two pit bulls.
