Wes Anderson, curator of the barnes County Historical Society Museum agreed to start off the series to give our readers an idea what we are looking for.
Photos can be of events or places in Barnes County from 10, 20, 30 years ago, or even older. We will publish at least one submitted photograph every week in the Valley City Times-Record.
Students at Washington Elementary School and Jefferson Elementary School combined their efforts and fruits Wednesday to create a giant fruit salad. Students in each school were asked to bring a piece of fresh or canned fruit to add to the salad, which they got to eat Wednesday afternoon. More in Thursday's Times-Record.
Maple Valley junior middle blocker Rylee Nudell notched her 1,000th career kill in an 11-dig, 10-kill, two-block, one-ace outing Tuesday night at Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page, but 5-foot, 8-inch sophomore setter Jana Mehus's 17 assists, 11 kills and two aces helped the Spartans hold for a 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-21) sweep.
Dylan Lunn, 21, of Valley City, N.D., clinched his first moto win at the Dakota Motocross Track in Jamestown on Sept. 20.
Lunn, despite the rain, took second overall through two motos in the 450cc C Class, his second year in the competition.

Eronna Marie "Dutchess" Laroque is wanted on a bench warrant for failure to participate in the 24/7 program resulting from original charges of driving while license is suspended, a class B misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor or drugs, a class B misdemeanor.
Laroque, 27, is a native American female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is five feet, nine inches tall and weighs 165.
