After making the Top 25 for four straight weeks and ranking as high as No. 16, Valley City State football dropped out of the Top 25 in this week's North Star Athletic Association Coaches' Poll following their straight loss on Saturday, a 42-21 loss to NCAA Division III school Gustavus Adolphus.

Duske, McDonald on NSAA Men's Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team

The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced its Men's Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team and honors on Monday, which included Valley City State 6' 4" senior guard Aaron Duske of Buffalo, Minn., and 5' 10" junior guard A.J. McDonald of Killeen, Texas.

The Monday morning fire that ravaged Faith Lutheran Church in Valley has been determined to have been arson, according to Valley City Fire Department Gary Retterath. The case has been turned over to law enforcement. More details in Thursday's Times-Record

Faith Lutheran Church Plans Next Steps

A prayer service is planned for the congregation of Faith Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the empty lot between the church on 4th street, Valley City, and Smith Lumber, and a meal and congregational meeting is planned afterwards at St. Catherine's, where the congregation can discuss their next steps including where to hold services.
