elimination North Star Athletic Association/Frontier Conference Tournament in Jamestown.
The softball championship is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, the winner of which moves on the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round.

Hi-Liner girls tennis was in West Fargo on Tuesday for a cold and windy Eastern Dakota Conference match from which the Packers took a sunny 8-1 win.
“West Fargo took second in the State Tournament last year and didn’t lose any players,” Valley City head coach Matthew Nielson said. “Their top five players are seniors this year. They are a great team, and coach Chad Anderson does a great job with his program. The Packers won their first three EDC matches 9-0, and not only did we give them their first loss to go 8-1, but we also won a set at No. 1 Doubles, No. 2 Doubles and No. 2 Singles.”
Hi-Liner softball appeared to have Tuesday night’s two-point Eastern Dakota Conference contest against Fargo Shanley won with a 3-1 lead off of senior Paula Andel’s two-out, two-RBI double in the bottom of the sixth, but Deacon sophomore Lauren Rotunda’s two-out, two-strike double brought in two of three seventh-inning Shanley runs for the 4-3 escape.
Shanley’s win avenged Saturday’s 11-6 loss to the Hi-Liners in the Detroit Lakes Tournament closer.
