Wes Anderson, curator of the Barnes County Historical Society Museum agreed to start off the series and give our readers an idea what we are hoping will be submitted with this photo from the museum archives.
Photos can be of events or places in Barnes County from 10, 20, 30 years ago, or even older. We will publish at least one submitted photograph every week in the Valley City Times-Record.

East No. 4 seed Legion Post 60 opened Wednesdayâs Class A State Tournament at John Randall Field in Wahpeton, N.D. in comeback fashion.
Up 3-0 halfway through the first inning and down 7-3 to end it, Post 60 reclaimed an 8-7 lead in the fifth and held on for a 10-8 upset of West No. 1 Beulah.
âIt was frickinâ awesome,â said Jordan Magnuson, who batted 1-for-3 with a run, a walk and an RBI.

Every Wednesday, the Barnes County Sheriff's Office and the Valley City Police Department ask for the public's assistance in locating individuals with outstanding warrants.
This week, the sheriff's office is asking for help locating Charles Richard Russell, who is wanted for failure to participate in the 24/7 program. His original charge was possession of drug paraphernalia, a class C felony.
Russell, 54, is a white male with brown eyes and brown hair. He is 5-feet 7-inches tall and weighs 140 pounds.

Vondalee Stevenson, 76, of Louisville, KY passed away on July 24, 2014.Â She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and was a member of First Deliverance Church of Jacksonville, FL and Valley Community Church in El Monte, CA.Â
Vondalee was born on May 5, 1938, in Cando, ND to the late Clinton and Harriett (Nattrass) Stevenson.Â In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ellen McKenzie; and grandson, Clinton Stevenson.
Valley City woman Michelle Walker turned her hobby into a way to give back and honor her deceased brother, who passed away a year ago. Walker makes and donates baby-sized winter hats to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
