Dakota Rose to Celebrate 25 Years

Dakota Rose Floral is celebrating 25 years in business Friday, Aug. 1 with an open house. The event begins with coffee and rolls from 9 to 11 a.m. and lemonade and cake from 1-3 p.m. The business closes at 3.

VC Woman Makes Hats for Babies

Valley City woman Michelle Walker turned her hobby into a way to give back and honor her deceased brother, who passed away a year ago. Walker makes and donates baby-sized winter hats to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

USPS Plans Litchville Meeting

National Anthem Girl Coming to North Dakota

Janine Stange, known as ‘National Anthem Girl’ for her mission to sing “The Star Spangled Banner” in every state by Sept. 14 to honor national heroes and the song’s 200th anniversary, will check North Dakota, her 44th state, off the list by performing at Aug. 5’s 7:02 p.m. Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks game.

Motorcyclists Ride for Hospice

About 150 motorcycles traveled about 150 miles to raise awareness of cancer and raise money for research and the care of terminally ill patients. The ride was for the sixth annual Debbie Gabel Memorial Ride, which was started by Rocky Gabel in 2009 to honor his late wife Debbie who died of ovarian cancer earlier that year.
