Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin expects Computer Information Systems Inc. of Skokie, Ill., to install new Computer Aided Dispatch software on dispatch, jail and law enforcement computers June 16 to 23. Tuesday McClaflin told commissioners CIS informed him it was â€ś90 percent sureâ€ť the software would be installed during that week. â€śWhen I get the 100 percent email, I will let you know.â€ť More in Wednesday's issue of the Times-Record.
Paul Jacob Myles, the suspect in an early morning burglary at the Valley City AmericInn Monday, is in custody.
Just after Midnight Wednesday, Myles, 26, of Valley City, turned himself in to the Valley City Police Department in response to a warrant issued Tuesday for his arrest. He is held in the Barnes County Correctional Facility.

John Deere Recognized by ESGR
David Rickford, volunteer with the local chapter of North Dakota Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, has announced two supervisors at the Valley City John Deere Seeding Group have been presented with Patriot Awards for supporting their employees who are in the National Guard or Reserve. Last month Valley City elementary students who have family in the military were honored at a program â€” a tradition that started four years ago.

Valley City Police are searching for a man they believe is responsible for an early morning burglary at the AmericInn Monday.

Free registration begins at 8 a.m. Boys divisions are open to ages 10-11, 12-13, 14-15 and 16-18. Girls divisions welcome ages 10-12, 13-14 and 15-18.
Winners qualify for June 22â€™s District Tournament at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minn.

Hi-Liner baseball completed the season over the weekend with a 9-5 loss to Northern Cass and a 13-1 five-inning fall to Hillsboro/Central Valley on Friday before host Devils Lake took both of Saturdayâ€™s games, 4-2 and 9-0.
Valley City finished 0-18 in the Eastern Dakota Conference and 1-23 overall.

Valley City Tennis Association hosted its annual USTA Tennis Block Party May 7 at the Valley City Recreation Center, where youth and adults played tennis games and received prizes.
Valley City Parks and Recreation, Valley City State Club Tennis, Young Peopleâ€™s Healthy Heart Program of Mercy Hospital and Valley City High School Tennis sponsored the event.
