City Discusses Permanent Flood Control

Flooding and permanent flood control were on the minds of Valley City residents and city officials during a public meeting Thursday.
About 35 Valley City residents listened while city officials discussed the next phase of permanent flood protection and how the ongoing project would be financed.

NDWS Women's Luncheon Set for March 6

North Dakota Winter Show Women's Division luncheon is set for Thursday, March 6 at 12:30 p.m. at the Valley City Eagles Club, said Mary Ann Bertnston. Tickets for the annual luncheon cost $17, and are available at Valley Drug, Nu Cara Pharmacy (formerly Foss Drug), Central Avenue HealthMart Pharmacy, Quilted Ceiling and from Winter Show members. The entertainment for the luncheon is pop music singer Robby Vee.

Fargo North Boys Steal Hi-Liner Thunder

Hi-Liner junior forward Jared Lentz pulled down a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds against Fargo North at home on Friday night, but 22 Spartan steals propelled North to an 80-54 win.
