Mud Runs Proposed for BC

William Winkler of Alta Township is proposing to start sponsoring three or four mud runs per year, possibly including other entertainment and food as part of the experience. More in Wednesday's issue of the Times-Record.

BCN School Now Open

The new centralized Barnes County North school building is now open. Students began attending classes at the new facility near Leal Monday, two months after administrators originally hoped to have the building open.

'Hello, Dolly' Showing This Week at VCHS

Valley City High School Drama Department is performing Hello, Dolly this week. Show times are scheduled for Nov.19, 21, 22 and 23 at 7:30 each evening. Reserved seating is available in the VCHS senior high office through Nov. 21 or by calling (701) 845-0483, extension 2: Students-$5.00, Adults-$10.00, and Preschool-Free when seated with an adult. Also the drama department requests that elementary students be accompanied by an adult.

Sharon Kinney retired from The Arc Thrift-E-Shop Thursday after 22-and-a-half years working for the business. A small party was thrown for her that afternoon.

Lady Loboes volleyball punched their State Tournament ticket with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-16) Region 3 Championship sweep of Linton/Hazelton-Moffitt-Braddock in Napoleon, N.D. on Thursday night.

Lady Hi-Liners Ousted in State Qualifier

No. 4 seed Valley City's Eastern Dakota Conference Tournament matches lived up to the term as the Hi-Liners just managed to sweep No. 8 Wahpeton, 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-22) on Friday before falling in a very competitive 3-0 (22-25, 18-25, 20-25) State Qualifier sweep to No. 3 Grand Forks Red River on Saturday.
