Entertainment for the upcoming Music at the Courthouse will be provided by “ADAPT” from Valley City.
They will be here on Wednesday, August 1st at 7:15 pm. ADAPT is a men’s quartet who have been together for several years. They perform a variety of musical tunes with great harmony.
Members of this group include Don Bauer, Monte McDaniel, Lance Drevecky and Tony Kobbervig. They are accompanied by Marian Drevecky.
Music at the courthouse is sponsored by the Valley City Parks & Recreation District, Bridges Arts Council & KOVC -Dakota Country.
Valley City Public School students in grades Kindergarten through 12 will return to schools that have been upgraded inside and out as classes resume Aug. 27 for the 2012-2013 school year.
Two very visible advancements include new press boxes and a scoreboard for Hanna Field, home of the Valley City High School Hi-Liner football team.
Work is underway for the reconstruction project on Ninth Avenue Northwest.
Chad Petersen, project manager, of city engineering firm Kadrmas, Lee, and Jackson, said the project is being reconstructed in two phases.
Phase I work will be completed this year. This includes the section of Ninth Avenue Northwest from Main Street to approximately Fourth Street Northwest.
The remainder of the corridor will be completed in 2013.
