I have a secret. Only my uber-close friends know about it and still they donât accept it. Some of you have the same secret. I thought I could keep it forever but working at Hospice has taught me itâs time to share it.
Iâm not actively dying but Iâm not actively living either. I can make myself appear busy and Lord knows I can speak how busy I am. Thatâs not part of the secret. Thatâs part of the lie. We lie to ourselves more often than we tell ourselves the truth. Thatâs why weâre a universe of people with struggles. We believe the lies and discard the truths.
TOWER CITY â Tower Cityâs park continues to benefit from grants that help the public facility to keep growing.
Scott Tichy, a member of the Tower City Park Board, said Thursday two years ago the park received a 50/50 matching state recreational facility grant that allowed the park board to put in a new playground.
About two weeks ago, the park board finished putting in a 1,200 foot walking path around the park it built with a 2011 national recreational trails grant.
A man was jailed in Valley City on Wednesday on suspicion of violating a restraining order against him.
Herb Brady, living in southeast Valley City, was taken into custody by Valley City police officers Dave Swenson and Wade Hannig. He had allegedly violated an order prohibiting contact and a bail order out of Cass County.
âHe was ordered not to have contact with the victim and he had contact with her,â said Stateâs Attorney Lee Grossman.
